Intro
Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale Patient and Public Involvement in Health (PPIH) Forum members are working in partnership with the newly merged Primary Care Trust (PCT). PPIH Forums are made up of volunteers, members of the local community. We encourage the general public and/or patients to get involved in looking at local health issues.
The Forum members collect views and opinions from the general public, patients, service users and carers on the services available. The overall responsibility of the Forum is to monitor and review health issues and services from the perspective of patients and the public and keep the PCT informed.
PPIH Forums are statutory bodies - set up by laws, and have certain duties and powers. There is one PPIH Forum in England for every NHS Trust (PCT, ACUTE, AMBULANCE AND MENTAL) monitoring the activities of the Trust.
Please assist us by contacting us with your views. We the public are supposed to decide the future of the health services we, our children and our children's children will get.
