As a Rochdale Based company Main Ltd began life originally as The Main Welding Co Ltd founded in 1946. It was a family run business and consisted of a fabrication shop specialising in large fabrications to a very high standard. It is through Main Welding that Mainway Engineering was formed, over twenty years ago, using our skills and expertise to diversify into the manufacture of high quality products.
Welding
Whilst a large portion of our successful company has diversified into national and international markets, we still have the capability to manufacture for the local market;

As a matter of fact all our products are manufactured here from scratch, we start with the sheet steel and we weld, fabricate and build from there into practically anything you require!!!
Bowsers
Through a change of ownership in August 2005, the company became Main Ltd specialising mainly in bowser manufacture. Wendy Owen has been with the company 20 years, and when the present owner decided to retire, Wendy stepped in. We have a new name, a new look and an innovative and positive approach to customer care.
Every nut and bolt is fitted in our factory and although most units are of a standard design, we can also manufacture any bowser to an individual customer specification.
As all our bowsers are manufactured to the highest quality this is reflected in the small percentage of spares purchased each year. However, should you require any spares, these are usually delivered next day.
