Townhead roundabout - roadworks update

During Week Commencing 21 January 2008.

The footpath that runs towards and along Yorkshire Street is currently being reconstructed. This has required the carriageway to be narrowed slightly to allow safe access for pedestrians, however this will not restrict traffic flows.

Work is ongoing within the centre of the roundabout, to install the drainage and cabling for the traffic lights.

The traffic island is currently being removed within Yorkshire Street, and will be replaced with a new signal controlled pedestrian crossing.
