Kingsway/Oldham Road roadworks update

The new Kingsway/Oldham Road gyratory is continuing to operate in its temporary layout. Drivers are reminded to observe the "Give Way" signs on the approaches to the gyratory and to give way to traffic already on the gyratory.

During this week various works will continue including installation of new street lighting, guardrails, and drainage. These works are being carried out at different locations around the site.

Electricity main laying which has been ongoing for the last two weeks in Oldham Road has been completed and the reconstruction and re-alignment of the footway will commence on Wednesday, 16 May. Although this will require the narrowing of the carriageway, traffic flow should not be affected significantly.
