Rochdale based business purchases Freetime Communications Ltd
Date published: 27/03/2006
GP Telecom the Rochdale based telecoms reseller has purchased for cash, the entire share capital of Freetime Communications Ltd, the Manchester based free-phone services reseller. Situated in the old Yorkshire Bank Building on Drake Street, GP Telecom provides a “one stop shop” Telecoms solution for businesses.
GP Telecom are looking forward to the benefits of aquiring Freetime, a well run organisation which has turned over a consistant profit for the last twelve years. Sales Director, Mark Nicklin told Rochdale Online, “This is a very exciting acquisition for GP Telecom. The Freetime base will be merged seamlessly into our customer care centre in Rochdale." Managing Director, Tim Price, added: "GP Telecom will benefit from both the economies of scale associated with merging two customer service and accounting functions, together with a satisfied customer base into which we can sell our full suite of products.”
Acquiring Freetime Communications represents GP Telecom's first foray into purchasing other businesses. The company has concentrated on growing its business "organically" since its inception in February 2003 and during that time they have built up a range of Rochdale based customers, ranging from Rochdale Football Club to Crown Oil and property surveyors Morris Dean. For the future, however, they hope to continue into the aquisition arena and are looking at a number of other potential opportunities for 2006.
