Rochdale business woman appointed Trustee of Community Foundation for Greater Manchester

Rochdale business woman Julia Rogers has been appointed as a Trustee on the Board the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester, the innovative local grant making charity.
Julia is currently Director of Group Services at The Co-Operative Group. In 2005 Julia won the CBI 'First Woman of Business Services' award. Within this new role she will provide the charity and grant maker with valuable support including introductions with contact she has formed by working for eight years with Manchester’s largest employer.
Julia said of her new role: "I was keen to take on this new role having seen the great work the Community Foundation does across Greater Manchester. Their work helps some of the most challenging communities, which is hugely beneficial for the regeneration of the region as a whole."
Nick Massey, Chief Executive of the Community Foundation commented on the appointment: "We are delighted that Julia has agreed to take on this role for the Foundation. We feel that Julia’s professional experience and know how is essential to the Foundation in reaching new audiences in all of the communities in which we operate."
