Hopwood Students enter Harrogate Flower Show

Hopwood Hall Floristry students Michelle Parker, Emmie Wood and Sarah Larkin have entered this year’s prestigious Harrogate Flower Show, which takes place from 27 – 30 April. 

The talented florists will be preparing entries for different categories within the show, creating elaborate displays in college before exhibiting them at the show the following day.  Each category has a different floral theme, such as ‘Rock Festival’ where entrants are asked to design a bouquet to be thrown to a crowd at a rock concert and ‘Wot’s Up Doc’ which takes its inspiration from cartoon characters.

Emmie, who also works for House of Flowers, Milnrow says: “We have lots of planning to do between now and April, but we are looking forward to the show. As we all work in local florists shops as well as study at college, we will be able to get lots of practice!”
