Hull ran in eight tries to record a comfortable Carnegie Challenge Cup victory at Rochdale.
Scrum-half Chris Forster stunned the Super League visitors with a try in the eighth minute for Rochdale.
But Hull hit back with tries by Gareth Raynor (2), Adam Dykes, Scott Wheeldon, Craig Hall, Danny Washbrook, Danny Houghton and Kirk Yeaman.
Five goals by Danny Tickle completed what eventually proved to be a comfortable victory.
Forster crossed just eight minutes into the game to give Rochdale the perfect start, arguably against the run of play.
But Wheeldon hit back 10 minutes later as Tickle goaled before Jim Elston added a goal for the home side.
However, Hull found their gear and Raynor's first try prompted a free-scoring run by the away side to book their place in the next round
