Crime Prevention in Spotland and Falinge
Date published: 25/01/2005
From February 2, 2005, Greater Manchester Police will be holding surgeries in Spotland and Falinge, Rochdale to build links with the local community and help reduce crime.
Police Community Support Officer Kathryn Slater will be organising the crime prevention surgeries, which will take place on the first Wednesday of every month from 10-12 midday, in the Spotland and Falinge Community Centre. The aim is to provide advice and assistance to local residents on how to keep property secure, how to avoid becoming the victim of crime and answer any questions people have about keeping safe.
PCSO Slater from Rochdale police station said: "I want to encourage as many people as possible to come along to my surgery to find out how to keep themselves and their property safe so that we make it as difficult as possible for criminals to operate in Spotland and Falinge. I will be providing people with information about Home watch schemes as well as
offering them advice on security devices and safety tips."
Crime prevention advice and information will be available in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Bengali.
