Littleborough Gallerys ‘Colourist Fields II’ Exhibition
Date published: 27/08/2004
Top North West artist Paul Brotherton will be one of a number of artists displaying their work at Littleborough Gallery in September. The exhibition, entitled ‘Colourist Fields II’, is part of the Littleborough ArtsWeek festival, celebrating great local artists and encouraging more people to see their work.
Paul is an established, talented and committed fine-art painter, currently based in Cheshire. He has several solo exhibitions in Manchester and London to his credit, and his work has been featured and reviewed in many publications. His recent exhibition at the Blyth Gallery in Manchester gained excellent reviews.
He uses a variety of techniques and methods, though predominantly he works in the media of watercolour, oil-pastel, pencils and pen ink. His resultant images are governed by the complexity of a subject, and his feelings about the study. A lot of his work is a result of personal experiences, and observations on locations. Subject choices vary, but he mainly concentrates on landscapes, city life, figure and wildlife studies.
The Gallery will be open everyday during ArtsWeek from 5–12 September for the public to view all the artists work, usual opening times are from 10.00am–5.00pm but other times may be possible by appointment.
