BBC to feature runners sisters brave fight
Date published: 15/05/2008
This Sunday, 18 May, is the day on which thousands will be running the streets of Manchester raising money for charity in the Great Manchester Run.
Over the past two months, Rochdale Online has been running a series of articles by Rochdale Rotary Club member Keith Trinnaman who is seeking to raise money for MacMillan in honour to his terminally ill sister Joy.
Macmillan, having noticed the articles on Rochdale Online, notified the BBC of Mr Trinnaman's quest and as a result you may catch a glimpse of him on BBC2 between 15:45pm and 17:05pm as the BBC will be featuring his sisters brave fight, his inspiration for the run.
Mr Trinnaman has exceeded his £1000 target but would like to raise more to help Macmillan, you could help by visiting the following site then donate any amount you feel able to, every little helps:

Rochdale Online's Brad Journeaux is also taking part. Having taken some ribbing from his Rochdale Online colleagues, as well as raising money for charity, Brad's secondary aim is to beat Rochdale Observer reporter Helen Johnson who is hoping to raise around £200 for Springhill Hospice.
