Would you abseil down the Town Hall?
Date article online: 13/05/2008
Rochdale’s historic Town Hall will become the focus of attention on the 6 July when members of Rochdale Round Table and supporters brave the 150ft drop from the clock face to raise money in aid of local charities.
The Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Peter Evans, is supporting the event by abseiling down in aid of his chosen charity Moorland Home.
Rochdale Hospice, Rochdale Childer and the Rochdale Music Service are other local causes that will also benefit from sponsorship.
A limited number of places are available for volunteers but as there has been great interest in this unusual experience it is on a first come “first abseil basis”.
Before applying you must be sure you can raise a minimum of £250. This must be paid on the day otherwise you may not be able to take part. Terms and conditions will apply and a disclaimer on the day will need to be signed.
If you wish to take part please contact Christian Morris.

Details and sponsorship forms will then be forwarded to you.
If you are unable to take part but wish to provide sponsorship then please do still make contact. All proceeds will be going to good causes within Rochdale.
