Three men arrested on suspicion of Kirkholt murder

Police investigating the death of a man in Kirkholt, Rochdale, have arrested three men from the local area.

The men, aged 25, 19 and 35-years-old, were all arrested on suspicion of murder last night, Tuesday 13 June 2006.

The 56-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder on 12 June 2006 remains in police custody.

At 6.15 pm on Monday 12 June 2006 police were called to Curzon Road in Kirkholt, Rochdale following reports of the death of a 42-year-old man.

Officers attended and discovered the body of a man, who appeared to have been attacked.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

The man has not yet been formally identified.
