Councillor Allen Brett confirmed as GMPTA spokesperson for Rochdale

At the Annual General Meeting of Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority on Friday 23 June, Councillor Allen Brett was confirmed as the official Authority spokesperson for Rochdale under Section 41 of the Local Government Act (1985). Councillor Brett was also reappointed to the position of GMPTA Deputy Chairman.

The Authority is responsible for assessing transport needs across the county and making policy decisions about public transport provision. It is made up of 33 councillors appointed by the 10 district councils in Greater Manchester and has a nominated spokesperson for each district.
