Rochdale Youth Orchestra Christmas Spectacular

Rochdale Youth Orchestra "Christmas Spectacular" concert this year, sponsored by Rotary Club of Rochdale, is to be a memorial concert for Sir Malcolm Arnold, the Orchestra President since 1992, who died in September. The Junior and Senior Orchestras will each perform a piece of music dedicated to his memory. The remainder of the concert will be a mixture of festive music and some of the Orchestra's favourites.
The concert is on Saturday 16 December at 7.00pm at the Gracie Fields Theatre, Hudson’s Walk, Rochdale.
Guest performers on the evening will be Oulder Hill Vocals directed by Janet Tilney and Steph Ball. Guest compere will be Rod Barry of Rochdale Online who will introduce the items and lead the singing of Christmas music.
Sue Verity, Conductor of Rochdale Junior Youth Orchestra, said: "This promises to be an exciting concert."
Rochdale Youth Orchestra is a registered Charity run for the benefit of young musicians by a committee of volunteers.
