New chief exec at Rochdale Boroughwide Housing

Date published: 19/11/2008

Rochdale Boroughwide Housing has appointed Gareth Swarbrick as its chief executive.

Mr Swarbrick was the acting managing director at RBH for the past 18 months after Paul Neate retired in April 2007.

Ian Agnew, RBH’s chairman, said: “We were looking for someone with real leadership qualities to take RBH forward and to help us make a real difference to communities in the borough. The post was very widely advertised and we used professional head hunters to search for the strongest candidates and to help us assess them. Gareth was selected from a very strong field.”

Perhaps we can give him a company house, so he can properly empathise the problems of the tenants.

How much was wasted in advertising the post and using professional head hunters when the guy was under your noses for the last 18 months! Its laughable.
