Men charged after brutal assault

Three men have been charged after a man was brutally assaulted as he walked home from a party.
The 22-year old victim suffered a broken eye socket, a broken wrist, a broken nose, smashed teeth and serious bruising to the face after being punched to the ground and kicked while he lay defenceless on the ground.
Leon Spencer, aged 20, of Count Street, Rochdale, Jamie McLennan, 19, of Prince Street, Turf Hill and Jonathan Taylor, 23 of Franklin Street, Turf Hill, are charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
All three are due to appear before Rochdale Magistrates' Court on Monday (24 November).
The incident took place about 3am on Saturday 15 March when the victim was walking home on Oldham Road, near to the junction with Woodbine Street.
