Serious injury - road traffic accident outside Wardle High

A 14 year old boy is in a serious condition in hospital after being involved in a collision with a car outside a school in Rochdale.
At 12:30pm on Monday 16 January 2006, a serious injury collision occurred outside the Wardle High School on Birch Road in Wardle.
It is believed the 14 year old boy was crossing Birch Road when he was in collision with a black Vauxhall Corsa.
The school boy suffered a serious head injury and remains in a serious condition at Pendlebury Children's Hospital.
The driver of the Corsa, a 44 year old woman from Wardle, is not believed to have been injured in the collision.
