Order granted to prevent youth's anti-social behaviour

A youth from Cloverhall in Rochdale has become the latest person to be made subject to an Anti Social behaviour Order in Rochdale.
A Rochdale Magistrates Court, Wayne Ferguson of Eafield Road, Rochdale was given a 3-year Anti-Social Behaviour Order.
Ferguson, age 15 years has been involved in a catalogue of anti-social behaviour and criminal activities in and around the Cloverhall area. The behaviour included racially-aggravated harassment, verbal abuse, witness intimidation, criminal damage to vehicles and property, attempted robbery and public order offences.
Following reports of nuisance from the Meadowfield Centre and from residents of the Cloverhall estate, Greater Manchester Police worked closely with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing's Legal Services and Enforcement Team to collect evidence to secure the order.
The ASBO prohibits Ferguson from entering the Cloverhall Estate, except to gain access to and from his home on Eafield Road.
He is also prohibited from:
- Acting in an anti-social manner
- Using, demonstrating, or threatening violence
- Using racially abusive language or behaviour in a public place
- Causing abusive, insulting, offensive, threatening or intimidating language in a public place
- Causing damage to property not belonging to himself
- Causing graffiti to property not belonging to himself
- Approaching, threatening, intimidating or communicating directly or indirectly with any witnesses.
Wayne Ferguson has caused extensive harassment, alarm and distress to the residents of Cloverhall for a period of 3 years. The Order has been sought to protect the residents of Cloverhall and surrounding areas from further anti-social acts from him.
