Flying colours for Rochdale Boroughwide Housing

Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, who manage the Council’s 14,000 council homes, are celebrating after retaining their Investor in People Award for another year. External assessors revealed that they had 'passed with flying colours'.
With new standards at the accreditation agency, assessments were tougher than ever before, with the company having to demonstrate fully how their policies actually worked in practice.
A spokesman for RBH said: "It has been a lot of hard work, but we have done well and so hopefully this should reflect in our services to tenants."
The new framework supporting staff appraisals was particularly commended, as was the delivery of high quality, and now more business-focussed training.
The report also stated that RBH provided detailed induction training for new employees and has also, in the last two years, started holding an annual staff conference which gives its 600-strong workforce a chance to get together to share good news and future developments for the organisation.
Derek Brown, Lead Board member for Staffing who was there when external assessors delivered their verdict, was thrilled and congratulated all involved.
